Junior Section


Barwick in Elmet Cricket Club have a substantial junior section with sides competing at U9, U11, U13, U15 & U17 levels. We welcome players of allabilities and offer a safe, fun and enjoyable environment for children to learn and improve their game.

As an ECB Clubmark club, section managers are DBS checked, ECB registered and qualified UKCC Level 2 coaches, with supporting coaching staff being DBS checked and ECB registered.

Introducing Children to Cricket

The U9 section welcomes children from school years 2, 3 & 4, with the competitive team conisting of mainly Yr4 children playing 16 over matches. Younger children build their skills throughout the season during the training sessions and take their first step into competitive cricket at the end of each season representing Barwick CC at local U9 festivals (8 over matches).

Representative Cricket & Yorkshire Cricket Board Pathways

Barwick CC have boys and girls currently playing representative or County Cricket across the various age groups. Barwick is committed to player development and has strong links with both the Wetherby Junior Cricket League (WJCL) and Yorkshire Schools Cricket Association (YSCA).

Summer Cricket Camp

Each August, in partnership with the Yorkshire Cricket Board, Barwick CC host a week long summer cricket camp. We welcome boys and girls of all age and abilities (including many first timers), regardless of club membership.
