Under 15’s away at Walton

Under 15’s had there first game away at Walton, we lost the toss and were put into bat.

On a low scoring pitch we managed 53 for 6 off our 20 overs. Will Bradley 32 not out and Jake Rogers 9.

Walton got off to a bad start in reply losing a wicket on the third ball but rallied to 34 for 1 off 9 overs , we managed to keep the run rate down but then an excellent spell from Jack and Jake Rogers brought Barwick back into the game, a great stumping by keeper Harrison Birch and some fabulous fielding, a great catch from Kyle Brennan, 2 from captain Will Bradley and another from Angus Lovett brought us right back in the game. A tense finish ensued unfortunately Walton crept over the line finishing on 57 for 8.

Jack Rogers 5 wickets for 8 runs, Jake Rogers 2 wickets for 11 runs and Will Bradley 1 wicket for 9 runs.

A big thank you to all the Under 13 players who stepped up and played for the 15’s, a fantastic effort and much appreciated.
